From GoldenEye (1995) to No Time To Die (2021), Agent 007 has worn various Omega Seamaster models in nine James Bond movies.
Omega has collaborated with Amazon MGM Studios and IO Interactive in the design of a new timepiece featured in the video game 007 First Light, launched worldwide on May 27.
The third-person action-adventure game blends IO Interactive's signature stealth and action gameplay mechanics while the original story portrays a 26-year-old James Bond as a recruit in MI6's training programme.
Players will step into the shoes of the iconic spy for thrilling adventures around the world, coming face to face with allies and foes, while choosing how to overcome obstacles and challenges.
One of his gadgets, the Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph, is fitted with a hacking device capable of disrupting electronic equipment as well as a powerful laser strap, making it an essential tool for players as they earn their 007 status.
From the video game, Omega brings the first chronograph in the James Bond watch collection to reality.
The new model is housed in a 44mm stainless steel case with a polished black ceramic bezel ring and a white enamel diving scale. Like the pushers, the dial is in black ceramic, while featuring laser-engraved waves, a date window and a small-seconds display respectively at 6 and 9 o'clock.
The 60-minute and 12-hour recorder at 3 o'clock stands out with a subdial ring finished in PVD bronze gold, also used for the central chronograph seconds hand, while all other hands and indexes are rhodium-plated and filled with white Super-LumiNova.
Revealed by the sapphire-crystal caseback, the self-winding Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900 ensures Omega's highest standard of precision, performance, and magnetic resistance. In addition, a 007 First Light logo, crafted in black metallisation, appears on the underside of the glass.
Inspired by the visual universe and design elements of the video game, a new Nato strap with a striped design appeals in a black, grey and beige colourway. Six other strap options from Omega's accessories collection are also available to change the look of the Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph 007 First Light.
Each timepiece is delivered in a special presentation box, recalling the suitcase that carries the Omega watches in the video game.
