‘Never use my music again’: Grammy-winning artist hits back at Trump

  • Grande commented on the post to reject its messaging regarding gender and sports, after which the song was removed from the video by the copyright owner.
  • This is the second time Grande has called out campaign posts, having previously condemned the use of her song “Bye” in a video promoting ICE arrests in June.
  • Grande joins a growing list of artists, including Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo, who have objected to their music being used in promotional content for Trump and the White House.
  • The controversy comes as Grande prepares to finish her Eternal Sunshine tour on September 1, after which she plans to take a break from public life.
