Liverpool forward Sheyi Ojo has posted an emotional message on social media as he prepares to leave the club.
The club confirmed their retained list earlier this month, with Ojo being released when his contract expires on June 30. It will see his decade-long stint at Anfield come to an end.
Ojo signed for Liverpool as a 14-year-old in 2011, where he quickly became one of the brightest prospects at the club’s academy. However, he has not made a first-team appearance since January 2017 in the FA Cup against Plymouth Argyle.

Reflecting on his time at Liverpool, Ojo has posted an emotional farewell message on social media. The winger has expressed his gratitude at having the opportunity to play for the Reds, and looks back on his fondest memories.
“I feel blessed to have played at this club,” wrote the 24-year-old. “Many beautiful moments and memories but most importantly the unconditional support from the fans.
“I joined Liverpool when I was 14. Never could I imagine the journey it would take me on. Both on and off the pitch.
“From the come up in the academy to playing for the club at the highest level. The experiences along the way in Europe, tours. The setbacks & Injuries, making mistakes. Learning patience. The physical & mental challenges of going on loan to different clubs.
“It’s a unique story. & I'm grateful. Never stop dreaming…”
Ojo ends his Liverpool career with 13 first-team appearances to his name and one goal. That strike came in the 3-0 win over Exeter City in the FA Cup third round replay at Anfield in January 2016.
The winger enjoyed loan spells at Wigan Athletic, Wolves, Fulham, Rangers, Cardiff and French club Stade de Reims during his time contracted to Liverpool. He most recently had a temporary spell with Championship outfit Millwall, where he made 19 appearances last term.
