TV chef Neven Maguire has spoken of the importance of using healthy food to cook as he took part in a cookery demonstration at the Bord Bia Bloom in the Phoenix Park on Friday.
The restaurant owner made a risotto on stage, while entertaining the crowds who were enjoying the flower festival in the sunshine.
He stressed the importance of not throwing all the ingredients in together.

Neven advised how good cooking is all about fresh ingredients. “It’s about good dairy - good milk and good cheese.”
“Tomatoes at the moment are beautiful and sweet.
“They should be stored at room temperature and never in the fridge.”
He also added that steak didn’t need to be served hot in the summer.
“It’s ok if it’s just warm when having it with salad.”
The popular cook showed his funny side when he instructed a pair of competition winners: “Sit down, relax and get the wine into you.”
The father of twins told how his MacNean House restaurant in Cavan was started by his parents and that one employee has been working there for 50 years, jokingly adding: “We can’t get rid of her.”
Model-turned-gardener Marie Staunton also spoke at Bloom, urging people to use a compost.
Marie said: “I learned a lot from my grandmother. She was all about no waste.”
