President Donald Trump drew fresh online attention on Friday, 2 October, after footage showed him walking from Marine One towards Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. Trump was travelling to Mobile, Alabama, for a campaign rally ahead of November's midterm elections. Some social-media users claimed the 80-year-old president might be wearing a leg brace or an 'exoskeleton.' No public evidence reviewed for this article confirms that he uses either device.

Reuters photographs from Joint Base Andrews show Trump walking from Marine One towards Air Force One before the Alabama trip. He later appeared at a rally at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, where he campaigned for Republican candidates ahead of the 3 November elections.
