The Netherlands face Ecuador in their next World Cup encounter today, in what is likely to be a straight shootout for top spot in Group A.
Both teams came through their opening games victorious, the Dutch leaving it late to down Senegal while hosts Qatar were brushed aside by Ecuador.
The Netherlands are eager to make up for lost time have missed out on the 2018 World Cup in Russia and flopped at the last Euros, with the outcome of Qatar versus Senegal determining if a win is enough to top the group.
