The Netherlands have successfully defended their Olympic title in the men’s quadruple sculls, securing a commanding victory by more than two seconds ahead of Italy in second place and Poland in third.
The 2023 world champions displayed exceptional prowess on the water, with Dutch rower Tone Wieten expressing his team's performance as 'amazing.'
'We knew we had a strong performance, but we understood the importance of maintaining focus and elevating our game,' Wieten remarked.
'The past few days presented challenges, particularly as our fitness levels improved, but we managed to stay united. Ultimately, when it mattered most, we delivered,' he added.
