Netflix have unveiled a brand new trailer for upcoming period drama Persuasion, which stars Fifty Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson.
The film, which is directed by Carrie Cracknell, is based on the novel of the same name by English novelist Jane Austen.
Persuasion tells the story of Dakota's character Anne Elliot, who is an un-conforming woman with modern sensibilities who is living with her snobby family - who are on the brink of bankruptcy.
When Frederick Wentworth, played by Cosmo Jarvis - comes crashing back into her life, Anne must choose between putting the past behind her or listening to her heart when it comes to second chances.
The two and a half minute clip begins with Anne saying: "I almost got married once. There were no two souls more in rhythm than Wentworth and I, and I was persuaded by my family to give him up."
As Wentworth arrives, Anne is seen mocking him and quickly looks embarrassed as she comes face-to-face with him.
Later on in the trailer, Anne is heard saying: "Now we're worse than exes... we're friends."
However, as time goes on it seems that Anne realises she still has feelings for her former flame - but at the same time, she's also caught the eye of another suitor.
"I would have been a far happier woman in keeping him than I have been in giving him up," Anne says, but she's told to "move on".
The upcoming film also stars Richard E. Grant as Anne's father Sir Walter Elliot, as well as Henry Golding, Suki Waterhouse and Nikki Amuka-Bird.
Speaking to Vogue recently about Dakota's performance in the movie, director Carrie Cracknell said: “I think Dakota’s humour comes from her intelligence.
"Anne sees things around her very clearly, and Dakota’s just like that too. She’s very watchful and very, very bright.
"And she was pushing to go funnier all the time, so we kept exploring the moments where we could find physical humour.
"She’d also have loads of ideas while we were shooting that we would end up doing in the film. It’s always the dream when the actors give you so much," Cracknell added.
Persuasion lands on Netflix on July 15.
