Netflix top 10 shows — here’s the 3 I’m binge-watching this week (Nov. 25-30)

Netflix logo on abstract autumn background.

As we get closer to December, there’s something extra comforting about settling in for a good binge-watch. But with Netflix dropping new releases every week (plus all the content from the other major streaming services) it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Not to mention keeping track of newer seasons, like the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things.”

If choosing your next Netflix fix has you scrolling in circles, you’ve probably glanced at the top 10 for help. But what's trending isn’t always what’s actually worth your time. That’s why each week, we sift through Netflix’s top 10 and choose just three titles that genuinely deserve a spot on your watchlist.

This article is based on what was in the Netflix U.S. top 10 as of Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

Best shows in the Netflix top 10

‘A Man on the Inside’

“A Man on the Inside” season 2 is finally here, and Ted Danson is back to proving that retirement clearly isn’t slowing his character down. The show sticks with its cozy-mystery feel with light jokes, small surprises, and that easygoing charm that made the first season so watchable. If you were into the laid-back, slightly chaotic vibe last time, you’ll get more of the same here.

Charles Nieuwendyk (Danson), now a seasoned amateur PI, takes on a high-stakes case at Wheeler College after its president reports a stolen laptop tied to a massive donation. To investigate, Charles goes undercover as an engineering professor and becomes immersed in campus life. He juggles interactions with a colorful faculty, including his romantic interest, music professor Mona Margadoff (Mary Steenburgen), while trying to unmask who’s threatening the college president with blackmail.

‘Homeland’

Claire Danes is dominating Netflix’s top 10 at the moment. Her new mystery thriller, “The Beast in Me” is currently sitting in the No. 1 spot, while her hit political drama from the 2010s, “Homeland” has also climbed into the rankings after being added to the streamer a few days back. With eight seasons to binge-watch, “Homeland” offers an addictive espionage story and a deeply engaging character study that’s sure to keep you hooked.

CIA officer Carrie Mathison (Danes) is reassigned to Washington, D.C., from a field posting after a risky operation in Iraq. She becomes fixated on Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis), a U.S. Marine Sergeant who was held captive for eight years and has just returned home, hailed as a war hero. Carrie suspects Brody has been “turned” by his captors and may secretly be working for al-Qaeda to carry out a terrorist attack on American soil. Undeterred by her superiors, she begins a covert surveillance campaign, using both legal and highly questionable tactics to gather evidence.

‘Stranger Things’

Not many shows have left a mark on Netflix quite like “Stranger Things,” and the much-anticipated final season is almost here. With season 5 part 1 literally premiering tomorrow (Nov. 26), it’s a great time to return to Hawkins or start the series from scratch. If you haven’t jumped in yet, this week is the perfect chance to catch up and get ready for the hype.

In November 1983, young Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) vanishes in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana, triggering a desperate search led by his mother Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Police Chief Jim Hopper (David Harbour). Meanwhile, Will’s three friends — Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) — cross paths with a mysterious girl named Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), who escaped from a nearby government lab. As the mystery deepens, they uncover a portal to another dimension called the “Upside Down.”
