Netflix top 10 movies — here’s the 3 worth watching right now (March 7-8)

Netflix logo on a fall-themed background.

Like all the best streaming services, Netflix releases a steady stream of new TV shows and movies throughout the year. Only a handful manage to crack the top 10, and this weekend, action fans are eating good. So are dinosaurs, with three "Jurassic Park" remakes making the list.

Granted, not every movie that makes Netflix's most-streamed list is a must-watch. That's why I'm here every weekend combing through through Netflix's top 10 list of most-watched movies to highlight the best of the bunch so you can skip the scrolling and get to streaming.

This week, that includes an earworm-filled animated adventure, a "Jurassic Park" remake I was not expecting to like as much as I did, and an action movie that's a cross between "Predator" and "War of the Worlds."

For even more streaming recommendations, check out our guide to everything new on Netflix in March. Here are the three must-watch movies in Netflix’s top 10 this weekend. Enjoy!

This article is based on Netflix's top 10 movies list in the U.S. as of 11:00 a.m. ET on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Best movies in the Netflix top 10

'War Machine' (2026)

"War Machine" is the clear choice if you're looking for a movie to watch on Netflix this weekend. It wasted no time shooting to the #1 spot after debuting on the platform this week. This quintessential dad action movie pits “Reacher” star Alan Ritchson against an otherworldly threat in a mix between "Predator" and "War of the Worlds." It’s the kind of large-scale spectacle you’d expect from a big-budget Netflix release, and the film’s central mystery — who created this otherworldly killing machine? Is it aliens, or something much closer to home? — will keep you glued to your seat. The ending stumbles in a messy bid to set up a sequel, but all in all it's a great popcorn thriller.

'K-Pop Demon Hunters' (2025)

Netflix's most-streamed movie of all time doesn't seem like it's going to leave the top 10 anytime soon. And this is one popular movie that actually lives up to the hype. "K-Pop Demon Hunters" follows three K-pop stars, Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo), who shield the world from supernatural evils with their harmony and demon-butt-kicking prowess. Their biggest challenge yet comes when a rival boy band, the Saja Boys, whose members are secretly demons, come for their crown and the souls of their fans. But first they'll have to tackle their own inner demons to stand a chance of saving the world.

‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ (2025)

"Jurassic World: Rebirth" doesn’t aim to rewrite the long-running franchise's playbook, but if you're in the mood for some dino-fueled chaos, it gets the job done. Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali take the reins this time around as a team of mercenaries tasked with infiltrating a dinosaur-infested island and retrieve DNA that could lead to medical breakthroughs.

If that setup sound a bit familiar, it’s because director Gareth Edwards leans into this with a knowing wink. Best known for his eye-catching visual effects in big-budget sci-fi franchises like Star Wars and Godzilla, he proves to be a natural fit for "Jurassic Park." The CGI dinosaurs look better than ever, though I still miss the je ne sais quoi of old-school animatronics.
