Netflix to ditch 134 movies and TV shows before Christmas: what to watch now

If you want to catch Edward Norton's really rather smashing MCU film The Incredible Hulk, or take a final flight aboard Airplane, you'd better be quick - for Netflix are having a clear-out ahead of the festive season.

There are a whopping 134 movies and TV shows leaving the streaming platform next month, so if you were putting off watching any of them we strongly suggest you take the plunge now.

Our top picks include Steven Spielberg's slave trade epic Amistad, Brandon Lee's superbly dark comic book tale The Crow, the original - and wonderfully bizarre - Dune, family comedy The Great Outdoors with John Candy and Dan Aykroyd and Kevin Bacon's classic monster horror flick Tremors.

There's also Kevin Costner's expensive-but-decent folly Waterworld and Tom Cruise's enjoyable sci-fi adventure Oblivion - both well worth a peek before they set sail for the stars.
