Netflix star Joey King has showed off the unusual new tattoo on her neck, which she got in honour of her trip to Tel Aviv.
In a carousel of images shared to her Instagram grid, the 23 year old actress highlighted the tiny inking, where Hebrew letters spell out the word 'hummus' at the back of her neck.
Joey's tattoo artist, Ronni Winkler, also shared the same image on her own Instagram page with the caption: "Ty @joeyking for the trust and for being the sunshine you are. You sat like a rock."
In Winkler's comments, one person asked: "I cannot read Hebrew. What is the meaning of this?" to which someone else responded: "Hummus".
On her own Instagram pictures, Emmy-nominated actress Joey added the caption: "Me?! Have the time of my life in Tel Aviv?!? Guilty. New favorite ink by the lovely @ronniwink."
This isn't Joey's first tattoo, as she has a number of small inkings, such as an Ursa Major constellation on her rib cage, kanji characters and a ladybug.
Meanwhile, other images show The Kissing Booth star spending time at a fruit market, dancing on the beach in a black bikini with Shtisel actress Hadas Yaron, spending quality time with her friends, and of course, enjoying plates of hummus.
While Joey was born in Los Angeles, Joey's mother is three-quarters Ashkenazi Jewish and one-quarter Italian Catholic through her paternal grandparents.
She has spoken about her Jewish faith extensively, and when speaking of her character in the 2014 movie Wish I Was Here, she told Paste Magazine : "I'm Jewish, but I'm not really, really religious. Grace is. Getting to go deeper into that was really cool."
Meanwhile, Joey is taking a much-needed break amid her hectic schedule. She will soon star in the movie Uglies, which she has also executive produced. It will air exclusively on Netflix later this year.
Other than that, we can also soon see her in the upcoming romantic comedy A Family Affair alongside Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron, which will hit Netflix in November.
Despite working so hard, the former child star recently admitted in an interview that she's often undermined in Hollywood because of the way she looks.
"Because of how I look. Because I'm a young woman. Because I'm very polite to people. I think I'm often underestimated or overlooked in a way that I'm just like, 'Guys? Don't f****n' do that! I'm right f****n' here!'" she told The Independent last year.
On the personal front, Joey is engaged to director Steve Piet, who she first met on the set of Hulu's critically-acclaimed miniseries, The Act. Before Steven, she was in a one-year relationship with her former co-star Jacob Elordi in 2017.
