Netflix star Chase DeMoor remains without a win in his professional boxing career after being disqualified for continuing to punch his knocked out opponent; YouTuber Stevie Knight.
The former college football standout had a farcical full debut against former MMA fighter and social media star Josh Brueckner last year, ultimately being stopped in his first effort. But he switched up teams and stepped down in level for his return to the ring, and landed a brutal second round knockout of Knight.
DeMoor, while still miles below his tongue-in-cheek moniker of the 'greatest heavyweight in the world', did look much improved on the night against a beginner in Knight. He dropped his rival early with a thudding right hand before seeming to land a second one, which the referee didn't award.
But controversy began when he landed his third and final knockdown, which rendered Knight unconscious for a brief moment. DeMoor insisted later that he was simply "in the rhythm," but couldn't convince officials that the eight punches he threw at his downed opponent could be excused and he was handed a disqualification loss.
Knight's team insisted to the referee that they be given a DQ win, and their appeal was granted with DeMoor slumping to a second defeat in his professional career. The pair appeared to reconcile in the ring after the bout, and the reality TV star insisted that he had won by first round knockout.
Promoter Mams Taylor took to Twitter to give his take, telling fans that Knight was okay backstage and expressing his annoyance at the situation. "I have checked on Stevie," he tweeted moment after the incident. "He’s okay and he will be back. Obviously I’m very upset that happened.
Speaking on the DAZN broadcast after the bell, DeMoor said: "I'm just an animal, I had a lot to prove out here, I had a lot of adrenaline going through me, a lot of people talking about my missed swing and in general my last performance. I came out here to make a statement win.

"I don't care what that stat sheet says, that's a first round knockout win. Three knockdowns against a very athletic man, I came out here and I put on a show, that's what it's all about. Regardless of what the outcome of the scorecard is I know I put the work in over the last five months.
"I'm sad for the Jack Rabbit gym, but they put me on and they showed me how to do this sport I took it really seriously and you guys have seen what I'm capable of. I've been telling every heavyweight out there. Greg Hardy I know you're watching this, you saw what I did to him, I want you next."
And DeMoor insisted that he would stop former UFC star and NFL player Hardy without any controversy next time out, adding: "Next opportunity I have there's not going to be any ref in there to save him, there's not going to be any DQs, I'm going to figure out the rest of this sport and I'm going to take over this division. I'm the greatest ever and the greatest there ever will be."
