Andrew Scott stars as the infamous Tom Ripley in Netflix's new limited series 'Ripley,' premiering on April 4. Based on Patricia Highsmith's bestselling novels, the series follows Ripley as he is hired to bring back a wayward son from Italy, setting off a chain of deceit and murder. The 1999 film 'The Talented Mr. Ripley' also drew inspiration from Highsmith's work, with Matt Damon, Jude Law, and Gwyneth Paltrow in leading roles. In the Netflix series, Dakota Fanning and Johnny Flynn join the cast.
Executive producers for 'Ripley' include Steven Zaillian, Garrett Basch, and others, with Zaillian also writing and directing all eight episodes. Meanwhile, Prime Video is gearing up for the release of 'American Rust: Broken Justice' on March 28, the second season of the series starring Jeff Daniels and Maura Tierney.
