Netflix's Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes documentary to be released next week after series horrifies viewers

The vile crimes of Jeffrey Dahmer have been horrifying Netflix viewers over the last week and the streaming service will soon release a documentary about the notorious American serial killer, featuring real-life interview tapes.

After it became available on Netflix earlier this month, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story quickly became the most watched and most talked about show amongst UK streamers, with many viewers bingeing the whole series straight away, whilst also being thoroughly appalled by what they were seeing on screen. Jeffrey Dahmer is the murder who was dubbed the 'Milwaukee Cannibal and Milwaukee Monster, after he committed the murder and dismemberment of 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991, including one victim who was only 14-years-old.

His killings have been brought back into the public arena in a huge way thanks to dramatisation Monster, with the 10 part series, featuring some truly harrowing scenes as Dahmer sets his sights on his victims, tempts then back to his place and then kills them, before disposing of their bodies in hideous fashion.

Neighbours became suspicious of Dahmer and contacted police on numerous occasions, before he was finally brought to justice after one of his intended victims managed to escape and alert officers. Like series on other infamous criminals, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story has been a massive success and, capitalizing on that, the streaming service will release Conversations with a Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes on Friday, October 7.

The true crime documentary, from the same director responsible for The Ted Bundy Tapes, will feature features never-before-heard audio interviews from Dahmer, as he confesses to his crimes, given am insight into the mind of a murderer who ruined the lives of his victims and the loved ones they left behind.

The documentary will also features interviews those who worked closely on the Dahmer case, including his lawyer Wendy Patrickus, who admits she "felt like Clarice Starling in Silence of the Lambs."
