Netflix is infamously known for cancelling TV shows on a regular basis, however, this time it has been reported that a new movie in the works at the streamer that would have starred Scarlett Johansson will no longer see the light of day.
This was part of a deal between Netflix and director Nancy Meyers, best known for The Parent Trap and The Holiday, which would have seen the Marvel star in the leading role. Owen Wilson, Penelope Cruz and Michael Fassbender were also in talks to appear. According to Deadline, the film will no longer be going ahead due to budget issues – namely, that a figure could not be agreed upon between both parties.
