Netflix fans unable to sleep after watching terrifying technology thriller Unlocked

Netflix fans are having sleepless nights after watching Korean thriller Unlocked.

The technology-based film, which sees a woman's life get turned upside down after she loses her phone, was released on the streaming platform in February.

Viewers have taken to Twitter in their droves commenting on the flick, with many saying it's one of the scariest films they'd ever seen.

One said: "Unlocked on Netflix is one of the scariest films I’ve seen in a long while. I want to throw my phone into the sea."

While another noted: "'It was the scariest thing I've seen in a while and it will make you reconsider a few things. Most definitely WATCH IT. Highly recommended!!!"

Directed by Kim Tae-joon, Unlocked sees office worker Lee Na-Mi (Chun Woo-Hee) lose her phone on a bus before Oh Jun-Yeong (Im Si-Wan) picks it up.

Jun-Yeong tells Na-Mi to collect it from the repair shop after explaining he's fixed the screen - but he's secretly installed a load of spyware.

Now able to monitor every text and phone call, the villain begins to infiltrate the protagonist's life, leaking confidential information about Na-Mi while convincing her he's on her side.

But as the girl's father begins to suspect the helpful stranger, things inevitably take a very dark turn.

Netflix is making quite the impression with its horror flicks at the moment after its series Brand New Cherry Flavour made people "throw up" with fear.

The show was released in 2021, but has been making a comeback this month, with fans saying they're "too scared to look at the TV".

The plot follows the story of an aspiring filmmaker, who heads to Hollywood in the early 1990s to make her movie.

But Lisa Nova, who is played by Rosa Salzar, soon falls down a rabbit hole of eerie revenge that spirals out of control.

One viewer wrote: "Brand New Cherry Flavour has scared me for life."

While another revealed: "I don't think a show has ever made me almost throw up as much as this one did."

Another show on the streaming platform keeping viewers up at night is Eerie.

The Filipino thriller has been branded one of this years' scariest films.

After a student takes her own life on the grounds of an all-girls Catholic school, her classmates claim they're being haunted by her ghost.

A clairvoyant guidance counsellor, played by Bea Alonzo, heads to the school to investigate - and makes some horrifying discoveries.
