Netflix fans have said a new docuseries will be the “best golf doc ever” as the trailer for Full Swing dropped on Wednesday. The eight-part documentary centres around a group of professional golfers on and off the course across a relentless season of competition, enduring a high-stakes schedule on the PGA Tour.
The show’s official synopsis reveals how it follows the sport’s biggest events for the first time, including The Players, the Masters Tournament, PGA Championship, US Open, The Open Championship and the FedExCup Playoffs. From the creators of Formula One docuseries Drive to Survive, Full Swing will give fans a chance to get to know the players through their wins and losses and witness what it takes to compete – and succeed – at the highest level throughout the PGA Tour season.
It includes interviews with a host of professional golfers including Jordan Spieth, Scottie Scheffler, Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy and British golfer Ian Poulter.

“You picked a hell of a year to start following the PGA Tour,” Poulter says in the show’s trailer.
He is likely referencing what has been a tumultuous time for the sport over the past year, which saw a number of players defect from the PGA Tour to the Saudi-backed LIV tour last summer, leading to a golf ‘civil war’. Several players caught up in the drama have been confirmed to be appearing in the series, which promises to be chock full of drama.

The fly on the wall series will also feature behind-the-scenes access to British golfer Matt Fitzpatrick’s US Open win last June, as well as some fiery exchanges in the dressing room. Golf fans rejoiced on social media as the trailer was finally released, with some speculating it could be the best golf documentary ever given recent events in the sport.
