Netflix Christmas movies and series in Ireland to enjoy in December over festive season

The Christmas season is in full swing and Netflix will be premiering many new Netflix Original Christmas films and shows to celebrate the time of year.

Many are new, some are Netflix originals, and a few are classics that Netflix still holds the streaming rights to.

The streaming giant is keeping us entertained all month with plenty of new shows and movies to binge on over the Christmas break, as outlined below.

December 14

Kangaroo Valley (2022) Netflix Original

Australian-based nature documentary following a kangaroo joey named Mala.’

Glitter (Season 1) Netflix Original

A Polish drama set in the late 1970s following three women navigating political and social changes.

I Believe in Santa (2022) Netflix Original – Romantic comedy.

Lisa is horrified to learn that her boyfriend of five months, Tom, is obsessed with her least favourite holiday, Christmas.

December 15

The Hand of God

The new title and Netflix original from Italian auteur Paolo Sorrentino. Sorrentino’s previous works include This Must Be the Place, and his masterpiece The Great Beauty which is currently showing on Netflix.

New kids series that’ll see you zooming alongside the famous SEGA mascot and visiting the Green Hill Zone.

The Big 4 (2022) Netflix Original

Its hilarious teaser trailer was released two months ago, and it looks like the cast including Leonardo Di Caprio, Jennifer Lawrence, and Jonah Hill are all in top comedic form.

If that's not enough to entice you, then yes, she does play a spoiled heiress to her dad's ski resort business, and she does get amnesia, and falls for a local lodge keeper (Chord Overstreet).

Scrooge: A Christmas Carol

This 2022 animated musical brings new life to Charles Dickens’s classic Christmas tale with the voices of Luke Evans, Jessie Buckley, Olivia Colman, and Johnny Flynn. The animated film is available on Netflix Ireland.
