Netflix and Toho Studios have joined forces to bring a contemporary reimagining of the 1960 Japanese sci-fi classic 'The Human Vapor' to audiences worldwide. This marks the first collaboration between the global streaming giant and the renowned Japanese studio.
The remake project will be helmed by a Korean-Japanese creative team, with Korean filmmaker Yeon Sang-ho serving as the executive producer and co-scriptwriter, and Japan's Shinzo Katayama taking on the directorial duties. The series will feature Japanese stars Shun Oguri and Yu Aoi in leading roles.
