Operator NET has released a picture of damaged wires which caused a 'whole system fault'. The photo shows a section of overhead cable frayed and dangling down.
The incident brought the entire tram network to a standstill for a period on Saturday, February 25, before a limited service was resumed. All trams are back to running to normal as of Sunday morning.
NET shared a photo of the damaged cables via its official Twitter account on Saturday. "We are working hard to resolve this as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience today," NET added in the tweet.
