Nepal’s rescuers on Saturday pulled out a Chinese national and a 64-year-old woman alive from under debris, 10 days after devastating floods hit the country, as teams continued searching for thousands still missing.
The latest survivor is a Chinese man identified by the Kathmandu Post as Luhaitao, found about 225m inside a tunnel at the Upper Trishuli-1 hydropower project. A joint team involving the Nepal Army and foreign rescue specialists brought him out alive and took him for a medical assessment.
