China's embassy in Nepal has said the situation in the Himalayan nation is “at critical stage for rescue and emergency response” amid fears of a second flood after a lake formed by debris from a glacier collapse began to overflow on Friday morning.
The embassy warned residents downstream of the landslide-dammed lake to “remain highly vigilant”, as the rescue operations in Nepal and Tibet resumed.
