Nemanja Matic hits back at Roy Keane as Manchester United players poke fun at Alejandro Garnacho

Here are your Manchester United morning headlines on Monday, September 26.

Matic hits back at Keane criticism

Nemanja Matic has hit back at Manchester United legend Roy Keane for criticism of him last season and believes that Harry Maguire is also unfairly targeted at his former club.

The 34-year-old left United in the summer transfer window after five years at the club and moved to Italian side Roma, where he teamed up with former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho again.

Matic decided to leave English football in order to pursue regular game time, but was criticised by Keane for saying he still had a place in his heart for both United and Chelsea.

United players mock Garnacho

Manchester United duo Tyrell Malacia and Charlie McNeill have each mocked teammate Alejandro Garnacho following the latter's latest Instagram post.

Taking to the social media platform on Saturday, Garnacho, who has made three appearances for United so far this season, uploaded a photograph of himself sat on a bar stool in what appears to be somebody's kitchen. The youngster was snapped looking away from the camera, potentially because he was talking to someone else in the room.

However, Malacia, who joined United during the summer transfer window from Dutch outfit Feyenoord, felt the urge to respond to his teammate and aim a light-hearted joke in his direction. He tagged fellow United youngster McNeill within his comment, suggesting that Garnacho was posing as though he was taking part in a model's photoshoot.
