Ally McCoist invited former Celtic player and manager Neil Lennon onto his TalkSport radio slot with Jeff Stelling today, where the pair discussed the Parkhead side's current vein of form.
McCoist and Lennon first chatted about one of the latter's other former outfits, Leicester City, before the ex-Rangers man voluntarily steered the conversation to the west of Scotland.
He said on TalkSport (via RecordSport): "Neil, you're going to destroy me, but I've got to ask you about Celtic. The draw with Brugge was maybe a bit of a reminder, but the win against Leipzig, that's as good as I've seen Celtic at home in Europe in a long time."
To which Lennon replied: "In the second half against Leipzig they were terrific. It's the best I've seen them in Europe for a while. In Brugges, I thought they were very good and deserved at least a point out of it. Brendan has a squad at his disposal that's as strong as it's been for a long time."

Lennon added: "They've spent a lot of money strengthening and that's what he wanted. Domestically, they're imperious, they seem to be steamrolling teams. And in Europe, they've had a lot of good results."
Following last Saturday's thrilling 5-0 victory over Ross County at Celtic Park, the Hoops now face Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Wednesday (November 4).
After that, they'll host Hibs on Saturday before travelling to play Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia the following Tuesday (December 10).
