Neil Warnock returned to Meadow Lane to pay tribute to the late Mick Jones, and explained he was touched by the minute's applause before Notts County's 2-2 draw with Chesterfield.
The former Magpies manager was in attendance to Notts' National League encounter with the Spireites following the passing of his former assistant manager last week.
Jones was assistant manager to Warnock during the club’s rise to the first division back in the 1990s. He also played for the club as they won promotion from division four in 1970/71 as well as the promotion campaign of 1972/73. In total he had three separate spells at Notts
