Joe Ledley insists his old Celtic boss Neil Lennon should be remembered as a legend despite the collapse of the 10 In A Row dream.
Lennon left Parkhead in last February in the midst of a disastrous title defence as Rangers romped to Premiership success.
But Ledley believes the Northern Irishman should be remembered fondly by the Celtic support for the five titles he brought to the club during his time as boss.
The Welshman worked under Lennon for four years in Glasgow's east end, winning three league titles and a Scottish Cup in a trophy-laden spell.
He believes that the football philosophy of the club was overhauled by Lennon and set the tone for the likes of Brendan Rodgers, Ronny Deila and Ange Postecoglou.
He told the Celtic Way: "Lenny came back to Celtic at a difficult time, especially after what Brendan Rodgers had achieved with the club.
"He was under pressure from the moment he took the job for a second time.
"I'm sure there are people out there who will always worship what Lenny did for Celtic.
"He changed the whole philosophy and style of play when he took over the club from the beginning.
"He set the tone for other managers to come in and copy that blueprint.
"I am sure he will be a bit harsh on himself with regards to not winning the 10 but Lenny will go down as Celtic legend. There is nothing surer."
