Neighbours star Alan Fletcher has teased there will be a few more "twists and turns" in the show's final week.
The Channel 5 soap will come to an end this Friday July 29 after nearly four decades on screen, and whilst bosses have remained tight lipped about the exact way the final plays out, they have promised a happy and emotional ending.
Now Alan - who plays Karl Kennedy in the show - has insisted there will still be more drama ahead in the coming days as the final looms. He has promised, though, that there will be a "celebratory mood" around the entire show.
Asked if the show's legacy will be celebrated in its final week, he told Metro.co.uk: "No question! That’s exactly what the storyliners and the executive producer were aiming for. And there will be some nice little twists and turns in there to intrigue the audience.
"It wouldn’t be Neighbours without that! But there is also going to be a celebratory mood around the show."
He added: "There will be a few tears in a few living rooms when it airs on July 29!"
Alan has loved having so many famous faces back on the show.
He added: "Natalie Bassingthwaighte is one of my great pals, so having her come back has been great.
"Having Guy Pearce back has been a wonderful experience, he’s been in quite a few scenes. It was very good of him to do that. All of these people that came back, they have so much gratitude about what Neighbours has done for them in life."
"They respect the show so much, that’s a beautiful thing," he explained.
Alan shared in the past that he had another secret role in the Channel 5 soap.
He said previously: "Greg is a mechanic with a deep, dark secret - there's always a deep dark secret! They had a three-week gap for an apprentice mechanic. I was the supervisor! It was just a wonderful fun show. I knew Stefan Dennis and Alan Dale. Everyone talks about what a family atmosphere it is, and it really was like that in 1987 - as it has always been."
