Neighbours' relief after houses shut down by landlords and police in Radford

Concerned neighbours have spoken about about the drugs problem in their area after two houses were shut down by landlords and the police to stop crime. An address on Gregory Boulevard which was linked to the supply of controlled drugs and a further address on Thurman Street was closed by landlords after officers made contact.

The houses were closed in recent months. Some locals had concerns about drug dealing in their area.

Peter Thompson, 70, and Teresa Thompson, 52, who live on Thurman Street, said the area had a history of being affected by drugs crime. "It's always drugs around here, that's all it ever is. It's more down the other end of the street that there is a problem," Peter said.
