Met Office forecasters have predicted a long spell of hot weather for Nottingham this week as warnings of a second heatwave were issued for Britain. And officials at Stapleford Fire Station have asked people to avoid using disposable barbeques for safety reasons.
"If you do spot a fire, don’t delay. Call 999 and ask for the fire service," they added. "Keep calm and get everyone out / away as quickly as you can." They also suggest that people download the What3words app, which can help the fire service find the exact location of an emergency quicker.
