Neighbours have described the moment they heard a "scream" before police cordoned off an alleyway in a quiet residential street in Nottingham. Officers were called to Longmead Drive at around 7.15pm on Monday, April 18.
They say they received a report that a man had been assaulted and are investigating what happened. The next day, on Tuesday morning, police remain at the scene trying to find out more about what happened, with an alleyway cordoned off to the public and police patrolling the garden of one property.
One neighbour, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "I wasn't here when it happened but I came back and saw all the police here. It was about 7pm or 8pm - my neighbour told me that they heard a scream before it all happened.
