People living in Mansfield town centre were surprised as their community filled with 'friendly and polite' people was named one of the cheapest places to buy a house in Nottinghamshire. A home in the town centre will set you back, on average, £99,500, while Newgate and Carr Bank is the second cheapest area in Mansfield, costing on average £125,000.

People living in Mansfield town centre told Nottinghamshire Live they ‘love it’ in the area and the best thing is the ‘friendly’ and ‘polite’ neighbourhood. For all Nottinghamshire, Mansfield town centre is the second cheapest place to buy a house, behind Worksop Cheapside, where a home costs £87,500.
Resident Kat Cotman, who is 52 and works at a pub, says she didn’t think that Mansfield town centre was one of the cheapest places and highlighted how nice the people are. She said: “I love it here really.
