Neighbours in a Nottinghamshire village that has the lowest crime rate in the county say the area 'couldn't be much safer'. Residents of Tollerton in Rushcliffe said that a "tight-knit community" and a "good neighbourhood watch scheme" were the secrets to its safety.
It follows the release of data that showed the village, along with Keyworth North and Willoughby, had the lowest number of reported crimes in Nottinghamshire. The area had 195 crimes committed in the period between February last year and January 2022, equating to 34 offences for every 1,000 residents there.
Aimi Drew, a mum-of-two who has lived in the village for eight years, described the area as "quiet" and "lovely". "I don't think it could be much safer. It's just really quiet, there's not much going on. I've never had any problems at all," said the 33-year-old baker.
