Negev summit strengthens ties between Israel and Arab countries

This week's historic summit in Israel's Negev desert saw Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid host his counterparts from the UAE, Bahrain, Egypt and Morocco. Lapid said the objective was to establish "a new regional architecture that will deter Iran. It follows the normalisation of ties back in late 2020. We take a closer look.

Meanwhile, Israel is on high alert after a spate of deadly attacks by Arab Israelis linked to the Islamic State group. In a rare claim of an attack inside Israel, the IS group said it was responsible for Sunday's shooting in Hadera which killed two people. FRANCE 24's jihadi movements expert Wassim Nasr gives us his analysis.

Plus, we report on the emergence of a once non-existent sector in Saudi Arabia: entertainment. In recent months, women – as well as men – have been allowed to enjoy parties. But human rights activists say it's simply diverting attention from the kingdom's human rights violations. Our regional correspondent Lucile Wassermann has the story.
