On a day seemingly meant for Caitlin Clark to break the NCAA scoring record, Nebraska Cornhuskers guard Jaz Shelley had other plans. The graduate student and Nebraska upset the No.2 ranked Iowa Hawkeyes, 82-79, but not before she hit the coldest 3-point shot (with a John Cena troll job) to give Nebraska the lead late in the 4th quarter.
All eyes were on Caitlin Clark as she inched closer to breaking Kelsey Plum’s scoring record. Before the 4th quarter, Clark was just eight points away, but Nebraska didn’t care about Clark’s record. They would not be denied. As they traded bucket-for-bucket with Iowa, Jaz Shelley, who had been HOOPING all game long, took over.
Shelley found space and launched one of the most clutch 3-point shots you’ll ever see. Afterward, Shelley trolled Caitlin Clark and Iowa with Clark’s John Cena “you can’t see me” celebration.
FILTHY.

Shelley’s giant bucket propelled Nebraska to a huge upset win over Iowa. Despite a 31-point game, Caitlin Clark was held scoreless in the 4th quarter.

Update: Jaz Shelley has responded to the chatter about her gesture. It may or may not be sarcasm.
Just to clear the air.. this was not a gesture at Caitlin or Iowa. I have the upmost respect for that program. This is how we signal our face guard defense https://t.co/oOx6nC6TOF
