NDA will win all 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar in 2024 polls, says Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on September 16 took a jibe at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad during a rally in Jhanjharpur in the Madhubani district. He also claimed that BJP led NDA will win all 40 Lok Sabha seats of Bihar.

Mr. Shah alleged that in the regime of Mahagathbandhan led by Mr. Kumar, the incident of crime was increasing in Bihar.

“In Bihar there is a government of Lalu and Nitish. I am closely reading the newspapers of Bihar and everyday there is firing, looting, kidnapping, murder of journalists and murder of dalits in the State taking place. I want to tell the people of Bihar that the selfish alliance will once again take Bihar to ‘Jungle Raj’. Do the people of Jhanjharpur want Jungle Raj? Lalu ji has once again become active and Nitish ji has become inactive. You all can understand how Bihar will function if Lalu ji becomes active and Nitish ji turns inactive,” Mr. Shah said while addressing the rally.

Mr. Shah also claimed that Mr. Kumar is ignoring the scam cases of Mr. Yadav despite knowing that the RJD leader while being a railway minister did scam of crores of rupees. The union minister stressed that Mr. Kumar cannot see the corruption cases going against Mr. Yadav.

He was addressing a public meeting under ‘Lok Sabha Pravas’ programme ahead of the Lok Sabha poll 2024. It was Mr. Shah sixth visit ever since JD(U) parted ways with the BJP and formed the Grand Alliance.

“The alliance of RJD and JD(U) is an alliance of selfishness. Lalu ji wants to make his son the chief minister and once again Nitish ji wants to become the Prime Minister. Nitish babu aapki daal nahi galegi. There is no vacancy for PM’s post because once again Narendra Modi ji will occupy that post,”Mr. Shah said.

Without naming anyone, Mr. Shah expressed his anger over people speaking against Sanatan Dharma and Ramcharitmanas. On Friday, Bihar Education Chandra Shekhar triggered controversy by comparing Hindu epic Ramcharitmanas to potassium cyanide. He also slammed the Bihar government over reducing and cancelling the festival holidays including Raksha Bandhan and Janmasthmi. However, the Bihar government had later withdrawn that particular circular after mass protest and backlash.

Mr. Shah accused Bihar government of engaging in politics of appeasement for the vote bank.

“People are speaking against Ramchatrimanas and comparing several names with Sanatana Dharma. These people have only one job, that is appeasement. I want to say that if people of Bihar make the government of Lalu-Nitish alliance and if Narendra Modi will not become the Prime Minister again then the entire Seemanchal region will become the hub of infiltrators. Lalu ji is ready to do anything for vote bank politics, “Mr. Shah alleged.

He further claimed that gunda raj has returned in Bihar, sand mafias have become active and liquor mafias are becoming the reasons for many deaths in the State. Mr. Shah alleged that the Nitish Kumar government is sleeping like Kumbhkarn on the issue of tackling flood problems in Bihar.

Attacking both leaders, Mr. Shah said, “The alliance of JD(U) and RJD is like oil and water which can never come together. Oil will not lose anything rather it will make the water dirty.

He also alleged that the work of Darbhanga AIIMS could not start because Bihar CM Nitish Kumar did not provide 81 acres of required land.

Mr. Shah did not miss the opportunity to attack Indian National Developmental, Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) claiming that the name of UPA changed to INDIA because during the UPA regime a scam of Rs 1200 lakh crore took place.

“Changing the name from UPA to INDIA will not make any difference because Lalu Yadav is the same person who pushed Bihar backwards,”Mr. Shah said.

He also claimed that UPA gave ₹2 lakh crore to Bihar in 10 years and the current PM gave ₹5.92 thousand crore to Bihar in nine years. Mr. Shah also gave the data of development work being done in Bihar by the Central government in different sectors.
