NCW asks SpiceJet to take down Twitter post describing it air hostesses as 'red-hot girls'

NEW DELHI: SpiceJet has landed into trouble for describing its air hostesses as “red hot girls” in a Tweet from its official handle on December 18, 2022. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has “taken cognisance of the matter.”

NCW chairperson Rekha Sharma has written to SpiceJet CMD Ajat Singh “to look into the matter and to issue directions to take down the post. Action taken must be communicated to the Commission,” NCW Tweeted a day after the post from the airline handle.

The budget carrier had on December 18 tweeted a picture of Dharmendra travelling on its flight with the flight crew. It was captioned: “Garam-Dharam with our red-hot girls.”

Comments were sought from SpiceJet and awaited till the time of going to press.
