Scottish actor Ncuti Gatwa has been announced as the new star, the Fourteenth Doctor, in Doctor Who, and his former high school teacher has been bursting with pride since the news dropped.
Boroughmuir High School, where Ncuti used to attend, has been gushing over the announcement, as Head Teacher David Dempster spoke to Radio Forth about the excitement surrounding the pupils.
Speaking to the radio station, David said: "Prior to being head teacher of Boroughmuir High School, I was a science teacher and I am pleased to say that in my time as a teacher, I taught Ncuti some science.

"I'm really pleased to think that maybe that contributed in some way in Ncuti's journey to becoming a TimeLord.
"I'm not sure if it did but it would be good to think it was."
David praised the actor for his "incredibly charismatic personality and great smile", and shares that he always knew Ncuti was going to be a star.
The head teacher has also invited the newest Doctor back to his former high school at any time to speak with the new students, and relive some of his days at the Edinburgh place of learning.
David added: "There's a real buzz in the school, youngsters are talking about it, I'm being asked about it, asking me if I knew him.
"We really can't wait to have Ncuti back at a time that suits him, being a Time Lord of course means that it could be present, past or future so we're always here Ncuti if you can make it!"
Ncuti is set to take over from Jodie Whittaker as the star of Doctor Who, the BBC has announced.
The 29-year-old will become the 14th Time Lord on the popular science fiction show, and the first person of colour to play the lead role.
Scottish actor Gatwa, who was born in Rwanda, is best known for starring in Netflix's sitcom Sex Education.
He told BBC News : "It feels really amazing. It's a true honour. This role is an institution and it's so iconic."
Speaking on the red carpet before Sunday's Bafta TV Awards, where he was nominated for Sex Education, Gatwa said the role of the Doctor "means a lot to so many people, including myself".
He added: "I feel very grateful to have had the baton handed over and I'm going to try to do my best."
Gatwa will make his debut as the Time Lord in 2023.
