A bus driver for Nottingham City Transport (NCT) has said there is a problem with air conditioning working for drivers on some of the buses they work on. The driver, who wishes to remain anonymous, told Nottinghamshire Live that the problem is "horrible" at the moment.
That's because of the sun shining and warmer temperatures. Friday (June 17) is the hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures up to 30 degrees Celsius in Nottingham city, with higher temperatures said to be measured in other parts of Nottinghamshire.

The driver said: "The buses have air conditioning in cabs for drivers for comfort, but most don't work and are never fixed. The only option is a fan.
"It is horrible at the moment. The double decker fleet mainly works, but the single deck fleet has a problem. Some of the heaters on single deck buses blow hot all the time."
Nottingham City Transport has been approached for comment.
