The days of wining and dining recruits is looking like its coming to an end, and Ohio State football, along with other schools across the country, are going to have to make changes to the way they accommodate official visits.
As 247Sports Andrew Ivins reported, the NCAA sent out emails to schools today with much stricter guidelines as to what they can, and can not do with visits. As we have seen in recent years, multiple recruits have shown their hotel rooms littered with swag, which now is a thing of the past.
A big component of the officials has been food. The NCAA is now addressing that, saying that food that is given to the recruits has to be done so in the lobby, not in their rooms.
Photo shoots not the only thing gone from recruit visits, NCAA blasted out an email this morning saying schools can no longer decorate prospect’s hotel rooms on officials.
All cookie cakes and snacks must be handed to recruits in lobby.

The photoshoots that we have also seen circulating the internet are also gone, which was one of the more intriguing aspects of a visit. In my eyes, this just doesn’t make sense for the NCAA to crack down on high school players having fun during their visits. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and they’re taking away some of the best aspects of those trips.
