Supporters of Mikaela Shiffrin circled the wagons around the twice disqualified skier by comparing NBC’s Winter Olympics commentary to their coverage of Simone Biles’s Summer Olympic failure.

The network was criticised for focusing its camera on Shiffrin as she sat slumped on the slopes in an iconic image the two-time gold medalist later tweeted out herself.
