NBA Twitter reacts to Warriors dropping road loss to Bulls as Nikola Vucevic matches career-high scoring performance

After starting their road swing with a blowout victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Friday, the Golden State Warriors’ struggles on the road returned on Sunday afternoon against Chicago Bulls.

The Bulls quickly stole the lead in the first quarter, jumping to a 15-point lead. After a slow start, the Warriors’ offense woke up in the second quarter to cut into Chicago’s advantage, but the second-quarter spark wasn’t enough to fuel a comeback on the road.

Nikola Vucevic matched a career-high with 43 points on 18-of-31 shooting from the field with five triples to go along with 13 boards and four assists in 39 minutes as the Bulls handed the Warriors a 132-118 loss during Sunday’s matinee.

Zach LaVine added 27 points on 7-of-18 shooting from the floor with nine rebounds and six assists in 40 minutes for the Bulls.

Klay Thompson led the Warriors with 26 points on 9-of-21 shooting from the field with eight made triples, four rebounds and four assists in 33 minutes.

Steph Curry notched 20 points on 8-of-15 shooting with 10 boards and four assists to secure a double-double. However, Curry was responsible for eight of Golden State’s 23 turnovers against the Bulls.

With Sunday’s loss in Chicago, the Warriors’ road record has fallen to 4-17 for the 2022-23 NBA season.

Following Golden State’s loss in Chicago, the NBA community on Twitter weighed in with different reactions. Here’s a look at what players and coaches were saying on Sunday afternoon.
