After another loss on the road, the Golden State Warriors returned to Chase Center for the second leg of a back-to-back.
Against the San Antonio Spurs, the Warriors opted to rest Klay Thompson. With Thompson on the bench, Jordan Poole entered the starting lineup and immediately went to work.
Poole quickly provided a spark, scoring 14 points in the first quarter on 5-of-6 shooting from the field with a pair of 3s. Poole stayed hot on his way to a season-high performance.
The 23-year-old helped lead the Warriors to a much-needed blowout win over the Spurs, scoring a game-high 36 points on 13-of-20 shooting from the field. Four other members of the Warriors’ offense tallied double-figures: Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody and Anthony Lamb off the bench.
After Poole’s performance in Golden State’s 132-95 win over San Antonio, the NBA community on Twitter chimed in with reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Monday night.

Anthony Lamb is the FIRST Warrior to hit FIVE threes and record a plus-minus of +25 off the bench since sharpshooter Anthony Morrow back in 2009.
