NBA Twitter reacts to Anthony Davis outplaying Sixers’ Joel Embiid

The Los Angeles Lakers may not have beaten the Philadelphia 76ers, but seeing Anthony Davis’ performance felt like a victory for the squad.

Davis has experienced an up-and-down season with expectations battling reality. With LeBron James out for the Sixers match, the load at both ends transferred to his shoulders.

Davis responded in a big way in his matchup with Joel Embiid, who has been on a dominant tear as of late.

AD put up 31 points on 14-of-21 shooting to go with 12 rebounds, four blocks, two steals and an assist in 34 minutes. This was his second game back from injury, but he did not play like it.

He had his way against Embiid on both ends of the floor even though it resulted in a loss, but NBA Twitter enjoyed seeing Davis return to his supreme ways:
