It is not a stretch to say that Los Angeles Lakers superstar big man Anthony Davis is in the midst of the best stretch of his career.
Just a couple of weeks ago, he posted four straight games with at least 30 points and 15 rebounds, and now he is going back into volcano mode.
On Friday, he went off for 44 points on 18-of-27 shooting, 10 rebounds, four assists and three blocked shots to lead the Lakers to a 133-129 upset win over Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.
Just two days later, he one-upped himself with 55 points on 22-of-30 shooting, 17 rebounds and three blocks as L.A. defeated the Washington Wizards, 130-119.
Davis has been on some kind of a tear in his last nine contests.

On Twitter, the NBA community certainly gave Davis his flowers.
I said it once and I’ll say it again. Anthony Davis is the most SKILLED Power Forward to ever touch the damn basketball. Carry on…

I want people to understand how ridiculous Anthony Davis is playing right now. This is Shaq level offense coupled with Hakeem level defense all in one player. Truly insane.

Anthony Davis is averaging 28.6 PPG on 65.6 TS% while leading the league in rebounds and anchoring a top 10 defense. I’m at a loss for words for how great he’s been.

Anthony Davis is the first Laker since Kobe Bryant (2013) to record back to back 40+ point games.
Both also recorded double-doubles pic.twitter.com/0SzVi7C8ZH

Since blocks became official in 1973-74, Anthony Davis is the first player in NBA History to total 99 points, 27 rebounds, and 6 blocks in a 2-game span. https://t.co/eGTwjDGebS pic.twitter.com/3rmD8YtdaF

If you were making Anthony Davis injury jokes when he was going through contact injuries & trying to regain fitness & rhythm, stay the heck off the bandwagon. Zero idea of his commitment & hard work off the floor. Flat-out kick a person when they’re down, loser behavior takes.

You can’t love this version of Anthony Davis and simultaneously be hating this version of Russ.
That Math don’t math.
