The Bucks made it 15 in a row with a pair of wins over the weekend that allowed them to overtake the Celtics for the best record in basketball and another W in Brooklyn on Tuesday. Further down the standings, the Spurs had lost their last 16, a franchise record, before Tuesday’s victory in Utah.
In between the title contenders and lottery-bound teams is a tight race for playoff position. The Knicks and Suns have done well for themselves lately and Phoenix has the debut of Kevin Durant to look forward to, while the Timberwolves and Nets are trending in the wrong direction.
