Starting in 2024, the NBA draft will be expanded into a two-night event, providing even more anticipation and excitement for fans and teams alike. This decision was recently finalized by the NBA and the National Basketball Players Association, formalizing an agreement to split the draft into the first and second rounds on successive nights, June 26 and 27.

The first round will remain at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, while the second round will be held at ESPN's Seaport District Studios in lower Manhattan. This change in venue for the second round aims to provide a fresh and unique experience for the players selected on the second night. Additionally, it adds a touch of variety to the overall draft proceedings, creating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere for both the players and the audience.
