2K announced that none other than five-time NBA All-Star Boston Celtics Forward and reigning NBA Champion Jayson Tatum is going to be the cover athlete for the standard edition of NBA 2K25. The game is coming out on September 6 and to be available for the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch.
Jayson Tatum is also on the cover of the All-Star Edition. However, he won't be alone as he's being joined by back-to-back WNBA Champion, two-time WNBA MVP and six-time WNBA All-Star Las Vegas Aces Forward, A'ja Wilson. By the way, A'ja Wilson is the one featured on the cover of the NBA2K25 WNBA Edition.
Meanwhile, NBA 2K5 Hall of Fame Edition has 2024 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Inductee, eight-time All-Star and two-time All-NBA Team and NBA dunk contest legend, Vince Carter featured on the cover.
Taking about this latest milestone, Jayson Tatum shared in a statement that it's been an honor to be chosen as cover athlete for this upcoming title. He added that he's been playing NBA 2K since he was a kid, and it was his dream to be on the cover one day.
Meanwhile, A'ja Wilson said that by being featured on the cover of the game, it's not only a big moment for her but proof of the ever-growing fandom of the WNBA. She went on to say that she's excited for fans to experience WNBA athletes in-game.
For Vince Carter meanwhile, he revealed that this year is truly unforgettable first with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame honor and now the NBA 2k COVER FEATURE.

In NBA 2K25, players get to forge their very own dynasty with MyCAREER and being able to compete in new MyTEAM modes. Meanwhile, players on New-Gen platforms get to experience an added sixth era in MyNBA. There's also a more compact and interactive City and the chance to cement their G.O.A.T. status in The W.
