Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe: Why is the British mother imprisoned in Iran?

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, the British national detained in Iran for almost six years, has had her passport returned by Tehran officials, her local MP has announced.

Tulip Siddiq tweeted that Ms Zaghari-Ratcliffe is currently still at her family home in the Iranian capital, where she has been under house arrest since March 2020, but that she understands a British negotiating team is in the country and working on her behalf.
