The problem with most Navratri makeup guides is that they're built around looks that were photographed on fair skin under studio lighting. A burnt-orange eye look that pops on a light complexion reads muddy on medium-brown skin. A coral blush that looks fresh on wheatish skin disappears entirely on deep skin. The issue is pigment load, and most tutorials never address it directly.
